Dunya is currently a research assistant in the Dason Lab where she previously completed a MSc. Her research aimed to understand the role of the histone methyltransferase G9a in regulating expression of foraging and nociception in Drosophila melanogaster. Dunya obtained her BSc in Behaviour, Cognition and Neuroscience from the University of Windsor in 2022. In her six years at the University of Windsor, Dunya has been involved in various clubs and organization both on and off campus including Doctors Without Borders and the University of Windsor Brain Bee. In her free time, Dunya enjoys traveling and painting.
